“I’m sorry”- Asamoah Gyan apologizes for descrbing Blackstars list as ‘nonsense’.

Ex-Blackstars Captain, Asamoah Gyan has apologized minutes after describing the official Blackstars call up list as ’nonsense’. Purefmonline.com reports.

The former National team Captain, fumed on Twitter over the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Coach Otto Addo’s failure to name Belgian First Division A club, Anderlecht’s Midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru in the new Blackstars call up list ahead of the Ghana-Nigeria World Cup qualifying match at the Kumasi ‘Baba Yara’ Sports Stadium on Friday.

Asamoah Gyan who earlier described Ashimeru’s absence as ‘nonsense’ said in his Twitter tweet captured by Purefmonline.com that the Anderlecht player is second to Arsenal’s Thomas Partey in terms of midfield quality we have in the Country.

“This guy @MajeedAshimeru is the best midfielder in Ghana, after @Thomaspartey22 PERIOD. I have kept quiet on this but this nonsense must stop. Smh.” Asamoah Gyan tweeted.

But in his latest tweet, he has apologized for his choice of words, expressing that he was taken over by his emotions.

“I still insist that Ashimeru deserves to be in this current Black Stars BUT am sorry for using the word “ Nonsense “ in my statement so I unreservedly withdraw that word , I was carried by my emotions. Go Ghana” Asamoah Gyan tweeted.
