Nana Addo laid a solid foundation for Mahama- Kofi Akpaloo

Kofi Akpaloo, founder of the Liberal Party of Ghana, has shared his candid thoughts on Ghana’s leadership in an exclusive Pure FM interview. Akpaloo commended former President Nana Addo for his notable achievements, particularly in infrastructural development, which he believes laid a solid foundation for President Mahama to build upon.

However, Akpaloo also criticized Nana Addo’s personal attitude, citing instances where he commanded chiefs to stand and greet him, and made comments that may have alienated voters. Akpaloo emphasized that Nana Addo’s attitude contributed to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss, highlighting the importance of leaders listening to their people and being mindful of their words.

Regarding President Mahama, Akpaloo expressed optimism, describing him as a smart politician who understands the people’s needs. He also discussed the “ORAL” movement, driven by youth seeking change due to perceived corruption.

Akpaloo further shared his thoughts on the current government’s plan to remove the e-levy, stating that it’s not a good idea considering the revenue it generates. Instead, he suggested using the funds to create factories and jobs, and even proposed utilizing the sports tax levy to improve sports infrastructure.
