5G Rollout in Ghana Will Lower Data Costs, Connect Communities, and Reach Every Corner – Kwame Baah Acheamfour

Ghana has taken a big step into the future by launching high-speed 5G services, a move set to make internet access faster, more affordable, and available nationwide. Kwame Baah Acheamfour, Director of International Affairs at the National Communications Authority (NCA), shared the excitement during an interview on Pure 95.7 FM, emphasizing how 5G technology will impact both cities and villages across Ghana.

“This new technology will truly change lives,” Acheamfour said. “Not only will it make data much more affordable, but 5G is also designed to run without delays it’s fast, reliable, and ready to handle heavy use.”

Acheamfour also highlighted the government’s goal of bringing 5G to every part of the country. “This isn’t just a service for city dwellers,” he explained. “In the next year or two, we plan to roll out over 3,000 5G sites, ensuring that villages across Ghana are connected. Everyone deserves access to this technology, no matter where they live.”

5G will bring benefits to several important areas, especially education. “With 5G, students will be able to do their research more easily, with faster access to online resources and tools that support their studies,” Acheamfour pointed out.
