Bawumia was not a politician – Miracles Aboagye
Miracles Aboagye, the Head of Communications for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, has showered praise on the Vice President’s outstanding work, emphasizing his exceptional blend of technical and political expertise. Dr. Bawumia brings a refreshing technical approach to governance, prioritising implementation and public service.
In a recent interview on Pure FM, Aboagye highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s remarkable contributions since joining politics in 2008. He has simplified complex manifesto conversations, driven policy discussions, and boasts an impressive track record as Vice President, with 33 policies to his name. Notably, this achievement surpasses former President Mahama’s vice presidency.
Dr. Bawumia’s achievements are notable, particularly in comparison to his predecessors. He has successfully implemented mobile money interoperability, a task that eluded former President Mahama. Additionally, the introduction of Ghana Cards has fundamentally transformed citizen identification. The innovative use of drones to deliver medicine to rural areas is another testament to his problem-solving approach.
Aboagye commends Dr. Bawumia’s credibility, humility, and respect, emphasizing his focus on brilliant policy implementation. Notably, Dr. Bawumia’s eight-year tenure as Vice President has been corruption-free, unlike former President Mahama’s term.
Aboagye also criticizes Mahama’s campaign strategy, suggesting he’s targeting President Akuffo Addo, who’s not on the ballot, due to a lack of credible opposition against Dr. Bawumia. Mahama’s leadership, Aboagye argues, failed to acknowledge and address public complaints.
In the face of crises like COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war, the NPP government, under Dr. Bawumia’s influence, has outperformed the NDC’s previous leadership. Good leaders admit their mistakes and address public concerns, qualities Aboagye believes Mahama lacks.
