“NPP Must Secure Over 80% of Ashanti Region Votes” – Frederick Opare Ansah

In an exclusive interview with Kwame Adinkra on Pure FM, former Member of Parliament for Suhum, Frederick Opare Ansah, emphasized the importance of the Ashanti region to the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Ansah stressed that the NPP must secure more than 80% of the votes in the region, acknowledging the area’s significance as the party’s backbone.

Ansah admitted that despite controversies surrounding the region’s support for the NPP and the perceived lack of commensurate development, the party relies heavily on the Ashanti region’s massive support. He highlighted various infrastructural developments in the region, including road projects, schools, and hospitals, underscoring Dr. Bawumia’s prioritization of these initiatives for the benefit of the Ashanti people.

Ansah urged the people of Ashanti to be patient, as engineering projects take time to complete. He assured the region that they will receive a fair share of projects, which they deserve, and acknowledged that the NPP can do better and more in the region.

Ansah’s statements emphasize the critical role the Ashanti region plays in the NPP’s political fortunes and the need for continued support.
