Legacy Foundation donates exercise books and cash to South Suntreso M/A JHS

Kumasi-based NGO, Legacy Foundation which has its office located in South Suntreso, has donated boxes of exercise books to the South Suntreso M/A JHS to commemorate the Graduation, Speech, and Prize Giving Day at a short ceremony in Kumasi.
In a heartwarming display of commitment to education and community development, the Legacy Foundation donated a substantial quantity of exercise books and cash of One Thousand Cedis (¢1000) to South Suntreso M/A JHS during its first Graduation and Speech Prize-Giving Day.
Amidst a backdrop of applause, excitement, and academic achievement, the foundation’s contribution added a significant touch of generosity to the event. The donation aimed not only to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating students but also to provide essential resources that would support their educational endeavors in the coming years.
Representatives of the Legacy Foundation led by General Manager, Nana Kwame Ayirebi Mentu (King Solomon) graced the occasion with their presence. During a touching speech, Nana Kwame Ayirebi Mentu highlighted the foundation’s unwavering commitment to fostering education and nurturing the future leaders of the community. The Foundation promised to give a scholarship to the student with the best BECE grade when the results are released. The best student will be sponsored by the Foundation for Senior High School and Tertiary or any skill work that the person will opt to pursue after Senior High School.
“The Foundation is donating this exercise book to the School, a ¢1000 cash for the school, and a package for the best student of the school. The person will be sponsored by us till the person completes their Tertiary. If the person is unable to go to the tertiary, we will help the person to pursue his/her skilled job”. – Nana Kwame Ayirebi Mentu stated.
The Foundation has also promised to supply exercise books to all the Public Schools within the South Suntreso community in September. By easing the financial burden on students and families.
“Plans are far advanced to support parents by donating exercise books to all the pupils in all the public basic schools in the South Suntreso locality” – Nana Kwame Ayirebi, the general manager of Legacy Foundation told the media.
The event also witnessed the collaboration of South Suntreso M/A JHS staff and students, the headmistress of the school, Madam Esther Boakye expressed her profound gratitude for the foundation’s thoughtful donation.
In an interview, Madam Esther Boakye the headmistress of South Suntreso M/A JHS shared their appreciation. ” We thank Legacy Foundation for this gesture. This is the first time doing this and it has been overwhelming. We asked for more and also call on other bodies to come to our aid. Our school population can not be contained by the facilities we have. Our classrooms are not enough to contain the pupils so the Government and corporate institutions should help us to get more classroom buildings”
Legacy Foundation is a Ghanaian-based non-profit organization. The Foundation office is located at South Suntreso a suburb of Kumasi. It is behind the Friends Gardens Restaurant. The Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Kofi Kuffour and Nana Kwame Ayirebi Mentu (King Solomon) is the General Manager. They focus on providing care and support for the needy since the primary objectives are philanthropy and social well-being.
