Participants of 2023 Agric Tech challenge tours markets with KIC and KNUST
Komos Innovative Center (KIC) in partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Agricultural department have embarked on a market tour with the participants of the 2023 Agric Tech challenge to ascertain at first hand the various challenges confronting the Agric supply chain players and proffer technical ideas and solutions.
The team visited various industries and sectors within the Agricultural industry, interacted with the stakeholders and assisted in addressing some of the imminent needs within their line of business.
On the first day, the team paid a visit to Premium Foods and then to Kumasi recycling whilst visiting Crop Research Institute and Juabeng Oil Mills on day two.
The final day started at the Rockland Farms and ended at Agric Care.
The team garnered some industrial experiences, learnt of new challenges to address and offer solutions to and built strategic networks.
The goal of the exercise is to redefine agriculture by focusing on the role of tertiary students.
Industrial players like Nadiatu Ali and Prof. James Osei Mensah led the team on this exercise.
