MTN to invest $1B by 2025 to maintain the network’s leadership

Ghana’s biggest Telecommunications Network, MTN has committed $1B to improving the network’s performance by 2025, Purefmonline.com reports

The Telecommunications giant with over 260 Districts coverage, made this known in an editors forum in Kumasi this week.

The Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Mr. Daniel Asare remarked in his presentation to the editors who were present at the engagement program that MTN is on course to maintaining its leadership in the telecommunication sector.

“We are on course with a USD 1billion network investment by 2025 to maintain the network’s leadership.”

Mr. Asare further touted the achievements of MTN so far by indicating that “Ayoba creates opportunities for local app developers and has over 2.5m users in Ghana, over 26m in Africa.”

He explained further that the Ayoba app is free to use as it does not take data from ones bundle and offers free music, games, blogs, Chats and other related benefits.

“MTN is committed to building a resilient network to improve
customer experience and maintaining our status as a leading network giant in Ghana and across Africa.

We are still committed to supporting SMEs through technology, increasing coverage and providing a stronger network connectivity.” He added.

The Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer of MTN ceased the occasion to advise Ghanaians on being vigilant and careful of scammers and MoMo fraudsters.

“MTN has put in place all necessary measures to arrest activities of scammers and MoMo fraudsters who perpetuate crime in our brand name.

However, we want all Ghanaians and our subscribers to be very vigilant and aware of the ways of these criminals.

Do not entertain conversations on your MoMo accounts or pins. Don’t engage these persons so as to not become a victim of criminal activities.” Mr. Asare remarked as part of his presentation.
