Gonjaland in standstill as Kojo Bonsu commiserates with the family of Dagbonwura

The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Flagbearer aspirant, Mr. Kojo Bonsu this afternoon caused a “parade” of traffic formed in his honor to welcome him into the city of Damongo as he commiserates with the family of the late Dagbonwura, the overlord of Gonja Kingdom.

It was a spectaculous scene witnessing the young, old and aged gathered all around the Japka Palace waiting for the arrival of the former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s boss.

Mr. Kojo Bonsu was the first NDC stalwart to have declared his intentions of leading the NDC as it’s Flagbearer abd subsequently becoming the president of the Republic of Ghana.

This declaration has excited the party base and members who believe the party needs a new face who could serve two consecutive terms (8 years) to solidify the party.

Since the declaration of his intentions, he has met with several paramount chiefs, overlords, youth groups, key political actors and other stakeholders.

Sometime last year, Mr Kojo Bonsu openly declared that when he is given the nod to lead the NDC as Flagbearer, he shall choose his running mate from the Volta region.
