Kennedy Agyapong is the ‘Advocate General’ for KATH – CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Prof. Addai Mensah has conferred the title, ‘Advocate General’ on the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

The recognition was done as their commendation to his continuous philanthropic services toward the development of the teaching hospital, Purefmonline.com reports.

The flagbearer hopeful donated hundred modern hospital beds to the centre on Monday, January 30, 2023 to fulfill an earlier request made by management of the hospital at a cost of Gh¢336 million.

Prof. Addai Mensah, receiving the donation, applauded the efforts of the lawmaker for the repeated gesture over the years.

According to him, prior to this giveaway, the Assin Central MP had already paid an amount of US$145,000 for the importation of parts of a crucial cancer treatment machine at the Oncology Department.

Again in the Covid-19 era, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong presented some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital comprising of five thousand face masks and three thousand hand gloves.

Prof. Mensah mentioned that his donations has impacted meaningfully on the services of the hospital and affected humanity as a whole.

He asked the general public to emulate the kind gesture done them by the MP.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong accepted being an ambassador to solicit for financial assistance as well as logistical aid to the hospital.

He however called on management to ensure that proper maintenance culture is exhibited to pave way for long use of the beds.

The Assin Central MP promised on liaising with his associates and institutions across the globe to realize his intentions of supporting the hospital consistently in his latest responsibility.
