A candidate in the just ended NPP regional Chairmanship race in the Ashanti Region, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah has admonished Ghanaians to be sober in utterances and actions in these trying times and support the government in its effort to elevate the country from the economic stress.
During a visit to the central mosque in kumasi as part of his Thanksgiving program on Friday, July 1, he thanked the Muslim community for their enormous support and ask for continuous support for government programs across the country.
“I wish to urge my brothers and sisters gathered here, and beyond, to continue to play our parts in our small communities to support the government in its efforts to restructure the economy. Many people are going through difficult times, and Ghanaians, like other countries around the world, are going through difficult times too. Despite the fact that external shocks had worsened Ghana’s problems, we are assured that the government is committed to addressing them all”.
The Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul-Moumin Harun on his part praised COKA for showing political maturity and appreciation to Allah (God) after the election’s defeat.
He advised him as well as elected Executives to put behind them the outcome of the election and unite ahead of 2024 polls.
