NPP polls: Holding elections at RCC is clear abuse of power – Mpraeso MP

Member of Parliament for Mpraeso in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern region, Davis Opoku Ansah has taken a swipe at a decision taken by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah to conduct the upcoming polls at the Regional Coordinating Council(RCC).

According to him, the decision is a clear abuse of power which puts the party in a bad light.

Davis Opoku Ansah to his Facebook page to vent his spleen..

“Holding elections at Regional Coordinating Council is a no no…. Clear abuse of power!”

Other members of the public have also questioned the motives of the ruling party, in choosing that venue for their event at the expense of the tax payer, citing abuse of incumbency.

Government business is expected to go on at the same premises where the minister has chosen for the party event on Friday, 27 May, 2022; this means that, the state would be shortchanged if the event is allowed to go at the venue.
