Mahama is popular in NDC but not richest – Dodovi replies Kennedy Agyapong.

Former National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Suame constituency, Francis Dodovi has described as erroneous and disrespectful, the comments made by Assin North MP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong that ex-President Mahama is the richest person in the NDC. Purefmonline.com reports.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong speaking on Accra-based Net 2 Television indicated that the former President is not facing any stiffer opposition and competition in the NDC because he is the richest person in the party. Describing his influence to be sourced from his alleged wealth.

“Today President Mahama from Vice President to President; you’re the richest person in NDC, that is why NDC is afraid that somebody contests him for the flagbearship.

President Mahama used to borrow from NDC welfare, how come that he became a Vice President and later President for one term, you’re the richest person in NDC. NDC electorates decided to vote against you Mahama because of your family members, today, you are able to speak against Akufo-Addo and his family?”

But in a response on ‘Pure Morning Drive’ with Kwame Adinkrah monitored by Purefmonline.com, Hon. Francis Dodovi noted that it is only an insult for anyone to assume that the ex-President Mahama is the richest in the NDC.

“Mahama is the most popular person in the NDC but not the richest. Kennedy Agyapong is an MP so I will be measured in what I say to him but he should have a degree of decorum.

How can you draw that conclusion. There thousands of business men in the NDC. Let me even ask you Kwame, when the richest men in Ghana’s list came out, did you see President Mahama’s name on it.”

“President Mahama is a states man, his dependency ratio has increased but you can’t say because of that he is the richest.” He stated on Pure FM.
