Samuel Inkoom trains with Hearts of Oak over a possible move- Hearts PRO

The former Sekondi Hasaacas defender who has expressed his interest to relaunch his career in the country has been spotted at Hearts of Oak training grounds by ‘Pure Sports’ today training with the Phobians to stay fit and in good shape.

Samuel Inkoom in sometime past revealed his desire to play for his former Ghanaian local team, Asante Kotoko SC before calling it a quit for club football.

It is however speculated that the football great is having a change of heart as he is set to return to the Ghanaian Premier League as a registered player for the Accra Hearts of Oak football club.

The 32-year old is currently without a club. He last played for Georgia top-flight side Torpedo Kutaisi but left before the 2021-22 season.

On Tuesday edition of the Pure FM Sports show, Hearts of Oak Public Relations Officer Opare Addo confirmed that Inkoom is currently training with Hearts of Oak.

“Samuel Inkoom is at the Hearts Of Oak training grounds”.

“He’s training with the team and the technical handlers are looking at him. Hearts will sign him if he impresses the coaches. Sulley Muntari passed through the same process before he was signed”- Opare Addo told Pure FM.

He’s expected to sign a year contract with the club pending successful negotiations.

Samuel Inkoom has played in teams based in 9 different countries, namely Switzerland, Ukraine, France, Greece, United States of America, Portugal, Turkey, Bulgaria, and latest in Georgia since leaving Asante Kotoko in 2009.

He started his football career at Junior Juventus Academy in Sekondi then he moved to Windy Academy before moving to Sekondi Hasaacas and later moved to Asante Kotoko in the 2007-08 season
